Great video. When I look at the two, I look at most of Cary proper as being older and more established neighborhoods without a lot of growth area left, while Apex housing is a lot newer and is currently booming. If you are looking for a new/newer home, Apex seems like the place to look first. If you want a neighborhood with some mature trees and older design homes, Cary is the place.

Love your content. Very informative. In this video you mentioned that you are really getting into dirt road when we are looking for houses in 27539, could you please elaborate on it? We thought it was pretty developed near the intersection of ten ten road and Kildairefarm road 🤔

Hi, I’m a native New Yorker but have lived in Orlando for the past 23 years, I’m now retired from teaching and looking to relocate for the four seasons. You didn’t mention any 55plus communities. Should I try Apex? I know I cannot afford a 700,000 dollar home nor do I want the upkeep at my age? Any recommendations?

We live right next to the landfill. There's only a few random days throughout the year where you can smell it. They really do a great job. The power plant is interesting cause we've lived here almost 20 years and our electricity has never gone out. Coincidence? 😁 Plus, harris park and lake is really nice.

I grew up in Cary, went to CA for middle and high school, it's home to me even though I've now lived away from Cary longer than I lived there. It's unrecognizable from when I was a kid, and grown SO MUCH in the past five to ten years. We moved away because of how ridiculously expensive everything was getting in Cary... and that was BACK THEN. Cary is definitely the upper class part of town, every family that lives there generally has dual high incomes working for major Fortune 500s. I once heard that in order to be considered middle class in Cary you had to make around $250k/yr, and I could believe that. Home prices are high, and taxes there are a major expense. What you didn't mention demographically is the Asian/Indian/Pakistani population, which is "on paper" 20% of the population - but that's not normally distributed. East Cary is heavily White, but West Cary where most of the new development is, is 50+% Indian. I lived in an apartment at Parkside for a couple years and frequently would go to the store and never see a white person - it's all Indians. The old joke used to be that CARY was the Containment Area for Relocated Yankees, but some people now call it Curry, NC instead. That could be a pro, it could be a con. Lots of great food around Cary, but you may find yourself culturally isolated in an exclave of Indian transplants if you buy without meeting your neighbors. Just be aware of it. Be careful with the public schools around Cary as well, the high schools have a reputation for having extremely high drug usage rates. The City of Cary is also mad with power, and love to gobble up land from all the little townships nearby. This tends to bring more land into Cary over time, but they tend to be less dense tax bases and wind up costing more and more in taxes, so your homeowners taxes WILL be high. They also LOVE to spend money, usually on art pieces and building nice little luxury outdoor areas... whether you see the utility in this depends on who you are, I guess. I do appreciate Cary's commitment to keeping the streets swept and washed, as well as well lit. Very few towns do this anymore, but Cary does. Public infrastructure in Cary is great, you will have the best internet and the most reliable power out of any of the local towns.

I appreciate this video so thank you. My family and I are wanting to come check out the Raleigh/ Fuquay Varina area soon( like in a week or two). Currently live in Waxhaw a Suburb near Charlotte which has also exploded in growth since we’ve been here( 2014). The problems seem to be the same as far as to much growth for the infrastructure 😅.

Fuquay Varina - is the fastest growing city in Raleigh suburbs. Target opening its new store in Fuquay.

Where are the "children's hospitals" in the Raleigh area? Often we've found if we needed to go to the hospital, a children;s hospital was often best. Just curious
